CURRICULUM CONNECTIONS THROUGH DANCE
Activities and integration are key components to a student's learning experience. Students are engaged in experiential interdisciplinary learning through dance. Students apply their knowledge and create movement "sharings" uniquely designed to enhance and complement what they are studying in the classroom and acquire a deeper and broader understanding of the subject matter. Dance/Movement activities involve English Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, Visual Arts, Music and Physical Education.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
LET'S MAKE YOUR CLASSROOM DANCE!
Workshop(s) designed specifically for the classroom teacher explore how to turn your curriculum into movement, to dance parts of speech, poetry, geometric design, algebra, force/motion, geography, etc. Teachers comfortably facilitate the creation of movement that depicts visual expressions of objectives through creativity and collaboration.
Quick and extended opportunities offer movement breaks for students
staying on task, positively directing energy and working "outside the box."

MOVEMENT FOR BRAIN, BODY & SOUL,
INFANTS TO ELDERS
My workshops follow the principles of Anne Green Gilbert's Brain Dance, creativedance.org. Her sequence follow developmental and holistic patterns that activate the entire brain preparing it for recall, comprehension, and retention of new knowledge. The Brain Dance can invigorate, relax the body and mind, and create positive social interactions.
Workshops can be designed to relieve and manage stress, offer mental and physical relaxation.
My workshops are tailored to meet the unique needs and abilities of individuals in the group. The objective of these sessions is to foster effective brain stimulation, body coordination and imagination. The goal is for participants to build and renew connections in the brain and body.
Individual personalities are explored and celebrated through movement.
People of all levels of agility, from fully ambulatory to those with wheelchairs/canes/ walkers are actively engaged in chairs, standing, on the floor, or in the pool.
